Within the last few weeks I finally decided to jump from a CRT and Analog cables (Red, white, yellow) to a LCD with HDMI. I knew what the LCD was however was sorely lacking in knowledge when it came to cables and high def. After I had bought the TV and the player (which told me on the box not to forget the HDMI cables!) I had to search for the proper connections. Well, the only offerings in the store were HDMI cables ranging from 40-120 dollars. What did I know? I bought the 40 dollar ones (I know I am cheap) and was happy with them, until I found these by chance on amazon.

When I first looked at the page advertising these inexpensive cables for sale, I thought to myself: “Of course they’re cheap, because they will fall apart within a week”. However, when reading the reviews I started to get curious. How could I go wrong at 3 dollars shipped!

So I tried them out, have them connected, as I write this, to a samsung 37″ 1080p LCD and get the same quality (with no interference) as the 40 dollar cables. The shipping was 3 days and I could not have been more satisfied. You do not need gold plated, platinum plated, or heavy duty cables because the above reviewers are right: “All you need is that digital signal”. Moreover, they are plain (no logos or colors) but they are no of shoddy construction (I wiggled them around and unplugged and plugged them numerous times). What can I say? It is a quality product that anyone can afford.

We have had 4 vacuum cleaners during the 45 years we have been married. One used Electro Lux, one used and one new Kirby, and two Hoovers. We did not care for the Electro Lux. The Kirby looked cool and was like pushing around a Buick. This Hoover is easier to push, is powerful, is lightweight, has great suction, and does an excellent job on both carpet and hardfloors. Our last one was 15 years old and wanted a new one, so we bought another Hoover. We usually buy the entry level no-frill model and have been very pleased. We did our consumer research and feel we made the right decision on another Hoover. We highly recommend the Hoover.

Love my I Pod Touch –frees me from a desk and the weight of a very old laptop.
Can do my to favorite things FG and email from my recliner. Have not tried to use outside of home but will be taking on trip this summer so hope it will be useful.
Only wish had printed manual –finding the help mode was somewhat tricky right out of the box.
Love all the aps, the fun as well as the useful. I do primarly free ones.Only problem I have had is downloading pictures. First time it swiftly downed my photos in “my pictures” but the ones in my Kodak gallery it deleted along with what I had loaded on it already. Now am finding it changed the route to get to the Kodak pictures (not the pictures but the route to find them to down load)Probably my bad but it has been frustrating.
Sound is good with the headphones. Video is great. Only wish it had a camera built in ! Ah well next one……
All in all a great tool/toy and the best price I found was at Amazon.

In my opinion, the hype is all this book has. I have spent my life reading most of the classics, along with best sellers, biographies, etc. I stopped counting when I got to 10,000 books read, about 13 years ago, so I consider myself to be a book connoisseur. This Catcher in the Rye is one book I wish I never read. Actually I didn’t even bother to finish it, because it is such a waste of paper and time. If you want to read a great coming of age book, read A Separate Peace or A Prayer for Owen Meany. If you want to read about a real hero, read The Real George Washington.

As with a lot of books these days I felt like the story ended abruptly. You read these big long books and then they just end leaving you to feel as if the author grew bored with the story.

I don’t want to spoil the book for anyone so I will not go into specifics but, I’m hoping to find out what happens with baby girl, Aibileen and Minnie.

If I did not feel cheated over the ending I would have given this book 5 stars!

I absolutely recommend it and hope to see a sequel.
Neon Light Nights

I’m amazed at how many reviews really knocked this awesome film around ! I may not be a war historian or a heavy avid novel reader but I definitely can say this movie had my undivided attention and gut in a knot waiting to see what was going to happen next up to the very end ! The performances by ALL actors were outstanding ;hats off to Colin Farrell and Terence D. Howard who put their best forward ! Willis’ character may have seemed one dimensional to some but his role required someone who was stern and dead serious (he was not suppose to be likeable and gung ho as in his Die Hard films… Willis is older and wiser now). And the real character twist was the Nazi comandant of the POW camp who seemed a little laxed in character and not befitting of the stereo typical film Nazi. However, his cruelty and menace was on a more intellectual mind game of chess and manipulation between the POWs concerning a tribunal matter…

Overall, I was extremely pleased with Hart’s War…Great movie, great story, great acting. While this may not have been anywhere near Oscar calibre (in my opinion it should have come close to) such as Saving Private Ryan it is filled with intrigue and suspense ! That’s good enough for me…

This is the best brush we have found for our dog. It works well with our large breed dog. Paid much less than any store we found.
