The book came in about 4 days, much much sooner than expected, in great condition.

It works very well with up-to-date Maps inside it. It comes with brand new package. Briefly, I like it.

The bottom locking pin does not pass through the holes in the rack as the two pieces of the rack are not fully aligned. It took me some time to install the hitch and by the time I installed the rack, it had been past 30 days. Have sent an e-mail to the seller but have not heard back in the last 3 days. As far as I am concerned, I cannot use the product with its design flaw. I wish I had paid some more and gone for a much easier to use, more robust quality rack from other brands which have a quick release feature. I would not recommend buying this product if this is a common quality problem.

I just love my new Kindle, it is easy to use with the page buttons on each side, the screen is great for reading, just like reading a book, the screen does not fade when reading in sunlight. I also like being able to download my books, Readers Digest and books from our local library, I am so glad I decided to purchase my new Kindle.

The omron pedometer is the best I have used. It is accurate and does not count every jiggle. This is the second one I have bought. The first one lasted for several years.

This KVM is advertised to work without a power supply under Mac and PC (as specified on the startech.com website) but doesn’t. It has a 5v recepticle but doesn’t even include a cheapo wall wart. The 5v voltage is not even common enough for Radio Shack to carry them so they are expecting a lot from the end user.
The specific problem is I get a warning from my Macs about too much power being drawn and then the keyboad and/or mouse gets disabled.
I have 2 differnt setups where it fails to work. One consists of a PowerMac G4 and a PowerBook G4 with a ViewSonic 20″ monitor, Apple Pro keyboard, and Microsoft Optical Mouse.
The other setup consists of a PowerBook G4, Old Micron Linux box, Sony 17″ LCD, Apple Pro keyboard, and a Logitech Optical mouse.
These seem like common configurations so I am wondering if it is defective or unrealistic about its power requirements. I have written startech.com about this issue. I will update this review once I get a response.

UPDATE
Startech sent me the power adapter needed when connecting to Macs. BTW, its not included. Seems to work as advertised but I have noticed that if I don’t switch to a Mac for an extended period it wont wakeup.

My daughters (ages 13 and 16) carried this book around the theme parks like a Bible. It doesn’t go into a lot of details about things teens don’t care about or affect (their father and I chose the hotel, for example) but has plenty of fun little trivia and good information about the rides. We’ve used Kim Wright Wiley’s guide Walt Disney World With Kids on several previous trips and find it really helpful. This is a great addition.

This book should be called Conversations with the god of this world” If ever there was the same old bombast by the adversary of the One True God-This is it. Don’t waste your time. Read the first 3 chapters of the book of Genesis and you’ll get the idea.

I got this product mostly for backup purposes. While I don’t recommend their backup software, others do work with it. I use the built in Windows for Image backups and then I use Retrospect for file by file backups.
This does work well to store your music although it doesn’t sort the music very well when you look at it on your Windows Media player.
I don’t consider the networking portion of this product to be that difficult. You need to reserve the IP selected for it or put in a static one.
I haven’t used the photo option yet but plan to.
This is not a five minute project. It takes alot of time to figure out how best to use it and what options to choose. For example the group policy option is more of a constraint on files / folders not permissions, once I figured that out it made alot more sense.
I haven’t turned on remote access yet but plan on using at least FTP.
Okay it isn’t blazing for speed backing up files, even on a Gig LAN, but I guess I didn’t expect it to be as fast as local backups.
I would suggest looking into the iSCSI drive option, especially on Windows 7. It is much faster, although you have to give up part of your total space for that drive option.
All in all, I am pleased with this unit. If I had it to do again, I would probably check to see if one of the other products would be faster for backups but still close to the same price and I would buy all the drives myself and perhaps go with 1.5 or 2 TB instead of the 1 TB drives.
The Seagate 7200.12 seem to work very well. I ended up doing the Raid 5 plus spare. It made the most sense to me.

I bought a Thule Ridgeline in April. Three weeks later I found inside of one tubing was holding lots of water and got rusted severely. Water came in from where the locking cable was positioned when it was folded. In addition, the other end didn’t have a drain hole to let go the water. I was concerned this rack wouldn’t last, and returned it for an exchange.
This time I was recommended to give Yakima Flipside a try. I took the rack home, opened the box. The first thing I noticed was the locking cable was hanging out and would not go all the way back to the storage compartment. I spent about 10 minutes, and couldn’t figure out how to return the cable back in. Then I un-folded the two arms, found they would NOT get in lock-in position without some work. Played with it for another few minutes, and found the bottom cap of the rack didn’t even have a locking screw. It was just snapped on.
Comparing both rack, I really liked the Thule design over Yakima Flipside. I went back and got another new Thule Ridgeline instead.
I think I’ll have to live with the water in the tube problem. I may just cut off a small zip bag, and use a tie to wrap the bag on top of the tube where the lock is positioned to prevent water to go in.
