“Carried water for elephants indeed. Do you have any idea how much water an elephant drinks?” These words of Jacob Jankowski open this well-researched, fascinating novel about circus life. This story is told by ninety-something Jacob as he vacillates between the present and the past, reflecting upon an incredible life that was not always easy, but was satisfying.

Jacob finds himself in a nursing home, his mind still active and questioning the meaning of his existence. Reminiscing about his life, he searches for meaning in the bland nursing home food and the fellow nursing home occupants, most of whom have surrendered their logical minds. As he remembers his life following the death of his parents when he was in his early twenties, he marvels at how every event led to the life he had.

Well-researched and accurate, many incredible facts of circus life are divulged in this story. To add to this realism, there are actual photographs from circus archives. This is one unforgettable book!

Casio #MTF100D 6 Men

I purchased this ipod in July when it was advertised as the “newest model” but now, 2 months later, it is labeled “old model” and I am very disappointed. For what this ipod does, it is very good. However, it does not have the camera, video, better screen and better sound. And all for about the same cost. I like the 3rd gen. model, but if I had known one with a camera would become available, I definitely would have waited to buy.

Since I received my Kindle I have been reading so much more and enjoying it a lot. The Kindle is easy to operate; is lightweight and convenient; and is a snap to order books with( in seconds).

I love this pedometer! It is the most accurate pedometer that I have ever had. I tested it on my treadmill and when I walk. I have put it on my belt loop and also in my pants pocket and it works great! I like the feature at 12:00pm it resets itself back to zero. I would highly reccommend it, worth the money!

This is by far the best baby bedding that I have found!!! I am extremely happy that I got it & I could hardly wait to open it up and feel the textures on the blanket! It is amazingly soft!!!!! WAY soft and absolutely perfect!!! And not only is the blanket soft but everything is made of that material…the valance, the diaper stacker, the bumper – I am just amazed at how great and affordable it all was!!! I did find it cheaper on a different site – baby super mall – but I relied on amazon for the reviews! I can’t wait for my little one to be born and it is a great neutral set. (we are waiting to find out the sex) You won’t be disapointed with this set! WONDERFUL!!!!!!!

I bought this because my budget dictated it. I thought I wanted the Polar RS800, but couldn’t afford it. However, after purchasing this watch with both the transition wristband and the speed/cadence sensor, I am very happy my budget DID dictate. The watch is larger than a normal watch, but is big enough to actually read clearly up to four data fields, times 3 because you can scroll through two main screens as well as an activity specific screen. You can input your own running/cycling zones and it will show you where you are (i.e zone 2.5 for mid-zone 2). I love being able to see distance/pace for running. And I like the Garmin connect on-line, which I am now using to track all my workouts. Cycling/running is instantaneous, but I can also input my swim workouts as well. I don’t think I would go with the Polar, looking back. I may upgrade to the 310, but only because of a longer battery life (supposedly). The manual says the battery life is 11 hours, but I have not confirmed it yet.

I never thought this game console was going to be so great! I’ve had a lot fun with it very much, and my family is really enjoying every part of it.

I just tried my Garmin Forerunner 305 GPS on an after Christmas run, and I love it. I currently own other quailty Garmin products (eMap & Nuvi) and the build quality and attention to detail are on-par with my previous experience; in a word – superb.

I considered several other makes and models, but pretty quickly settled on the Garmin 305 as it contains all the features and functions I desired, at a great price. You can read all about the many features directly from the Garmin web site or the many other excellent reviews of this unit. I’ll be brief and just give the basics I noticed.

This 305 is an excellent training tool, and an upgrade for me from a Timex Time & Distance watch which used a separate GPS unit. What the Garmin offers in a single piece of equipment is auto-lapping on time or distance, auto-pausing when you stop for a traffic light, and Large Clear data fields that you can actually see while running. My package also included a heart rate monitor, which seems to work well also. It was noticeably but not uncomfortable to wear, and captured accurate data.

Garmin offers users the ability to capture and track workouts on the included Training Center software. Another free product is Garmin’s MotionBased software that has just been upgraded to Garmin Connect. This lets you upload your workout data to the web site for more tracking and reporting options.

I give the unit 5 star rating on features, function, build quality, and support in terms of a great web site. You can’t go wrong with the Garmin 305.

Impressed. I have an e-510 and have been just using the kit lenses for the past year and had this one saved in my amazon cart for about that long. Glad I waited as with the rebate now in effect on the 70-300mm lens the price was just too hard to resist and having watched its price remain a steady 80 dollars or so above what Olympus Zuiko 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 ED is now for the past year I would recommed others who are on the fence to get it now.

I was impressed by the build and heft of this lens. Better then the kit lenses by far. Really gives my e-510 reach now. I also have a Canon T1i (I wanted the video function) and the 55-250mm lens for that. The build on the Olympus is much better. (I do like the canon as well though, just a noticeable build quality difference in the two lens) The pics with this lens are very good, although at 300mm in anything less the full light I can tell the IS system is at its limits and some shots will be spot on and others just a bit off do to my inablity to steady handhold at that range. I would highly recommend this lens to Oly users as you are getting a very nicely built lens with a lot of reach for a very good price.
