This book is amazing! I couldn’t put it down! Not much more to say except wonderful writing and absorbing story line.

I have had the Kindle 2 (US 3G Wireless with Sprint) for 1.5 years now.

Aside from my Garmin 305 GPS watch, this is my most favored possession ever. Very few other physical items have brought me this much joy and have changed my daily routine like the Kindle has.

I have been deployed to Afghanistan for three months now, and via the download-to-computer function and the USB cable, I am still able to get any book (and now, game) within minutes. It’s nice to stay connected to civilization out here.

There are few books that have not been available on Kindle, and the quality of the robotic reading voice will never replace a well-narrated audiobook, but these slights pale in comparison to the amazing awesomeness of this device!

Someday, when my Kindle dies, I will buy the newest generation, but until then, I enjoy the signature of one of my favorite authors on my Kindle staring at me through the many hours of enjoyable reading.

Slainte!

PS, I must mention that I received this as a surprise on Father’s Day–it was early in our marriage and, unfortunately for my wife, in the next 60 years, as a gift it will never be surpassed!

Great watch! Was looking for something that wasn’t going to stop working in 5 months, easy to read, and not difficult to maintain. As an RN I wanted something easy to see, in all types of lighting. The dark background and light numbers and larger numbers make this really enjoyable to have. It stands up to the constant hand washing and I never have to worry about my battery running out and finding someplace that will change it. Only thing I wish it had was some way of having back light for use in a dark room-but at this point that hasn’t been enough of an issue to not encourage others to purchase it. I’m small, 5ft and I do not find it too large for my wrist or even too heavy. Excellent watch and worth the money.

Eoin Colfer has earned my undying admiration: He writes a truly entertaining and unique youth novel. Artemis Fowl is complex, it’s unpredictable, it’s imaginative, it has some gruesome descriptions, and it is really, really good.

Colfer’s focal point is the wanna-be evil boy genius. He’s all genius, but he can’t quite bring himself to be truly evil, and the conflict in character is fascinating to read. Colfer latches on to a real problem that so many youth identify with, sadly–the absentee parents for reasons that even they can’t always help. Although Colfer acknowledges this issue, he doesn’t preach, he just lets it be, and allows Artemis to make his own mess and dig his way out.

Colfer’s imaginative LEP unit and Foaly are great fun to read. I can’t wait to get into the second novel, and I would not hesitate to recommend this series to any upper elementary/middle school aged reader, either in years or at heart. :D Order the series without reserve and enjoy!

I have been using the Omron HJ 112 Digital Pocket Pedometer for a few weeks now and I am very happy with it. It easily slips into a pocket or clips to a waistband. It is easy to set up and easy to read. I like the way it resets itself to zero everyday. The instructions say you can put it in your purse. I haven’t done that because I am more active than my purse. The only improvement I would make is a back light so you could read it after evening walks.

Buyers should be aware that TheMemstore lists items for sale on Amazon which they do not have in stock. If you don’t mind waiting a few extra weeks to get your product, their prices are good. Hopefully you will not have to deal directly with them for anything.

I bought two Ipod touches to occupy my 4 and 6 year old on a 6 hour flight. Loaded the ipods with about 50 games, 10 movies, 60 TV shows, music, and hundreds of photos. My kids couldn’t take their eyes of the ipods. So simple to use my 4 year old easily navigates the interface. My 6 year figured out how to use itunes. Only one problem. I had to pry the ipods from their hands. I have to limit my kids with the ipods. On vacation they nagged consantly. I’m an Android user but the ipod toch has convined me to go Apple. Great product. Lastly, don’t get the 8 gig model. The 32 gig has enough room for plenty of games and videos.

Since we started using it, things have been a little easier especially on my math homeworks. My mom and dad are excited about the features that they were hooked up for a while using it. Very user-friendly and easy-to-follow and understand. Thumbs up!

This does work with OSX and Apple computers. I wasn’t able to find documented support of Apple computers anywhere online but purchased anyway and crossed my fingers. This particular model is PS2 only (there is a USB version sold) but it works flawlessly with a Adesso PS2-USB adaptor also sold by Amazon.
