I purchased this model mainly because it supports both, old composite connection (for my CRT TV) and new HDMI connectors (I tested it too in case I buy Plasma/LCD). The second reason is new chipset and a lot of supported media formats (including AVCHD produced by my camcorder). In general, I’m pleased with this item:
1. It plays all formats flawlessly. So far, I tried AVI(XviD/DivX), MKV(Matroska), MTS(AVCHD), IFO(DVD) and some audio MP3 files.
2. It is black, silent and cool with two ambient blue indicators switching to one red when it’s off. In other words – it’s practically invisible (which is a must for hone theatre equipment).
3. It has simple intuitive browsing interface and easy-to-use remote control full of useful features with nothing excessive (such as volume control, zoom, subtitle swap and home button bringing fast to main menu).
4. I couldn’t test much of a quality because I don’t own Plasma TV but from what I saw on friend’s set – HDMI and RCA works very good.
Here’s several points of improvement I’d like to mention (most of them can be fixed via future FW upgrade, currently 1.07N):
1. The model I purchased (in US) doesn’t support PAL (Europe) – the option exists in Setup but grade-out. This is a minor problem for me because although I have PAL TV, it also supports NTSC.
2. When seen on CRT TV, the menus doesn’t look very nice (letters are small and fuzzy, the picture slightly extends beyond left border).
3. The remote receiver should be pointed directly to the box, otherwise commands are often missed, and not too responsive.
4. The box is relatively large (almost twice bigger than WDTV) and not especially stylish.
5. I still haven’t decide whether I can tolerate odd Category “filtering”. What I mean is when you go to “Video” or “Music”, you don’t get your video or music library but rather “filter” the whole content by file types (video or audio). The only consolation here is dedicated button that allows you to switch filtering modes “on-the-fly” wit

We have bought several scales in the last year and none of them give accurate readings. You could get on them 5 times in a row and each time get a different reading. With this scale, we put it to the test just like one of the other reviewers says. We got on it 5 times in a row and each time, we got the same reading! Once in a while, I will still give it a test to make sure, and I’m never dissappointed. It’s the same each time! I LOVE this scale and it really is the best scale we’ve ever bought!

Here are my problems with this book:
1) Remove the sex and animal cruelty scenes, and it reads like a script from a bad Disney movie.
2) The main character is shallow and throughout the book I had no idea what made him do the things he did. Why did he join the circus in the first place? Not once did he mention missing his dead parents, his home, school etc. Didn’t he have any memories from his childhood, no worries about the future, no relatives, no friends? You never knew what he was about to do next, because his motives, thoughts and emotions were never dealt with, and that’s probably because the writer had absolutely no idea how to do that properly.
3) I get the feeling that some people liked this book simply because it was so easy to read even Bobo the monkey would get it, since it lacked any depth or complication in the script or the characters. Readers who rate this kind of books with 5 stars have obviously no idea what real literature is.
4) The dialogue was poor, and so blatantly contemporary that it made me angry at the writer’s lazyness of doing her research properly.
5) It was so obvious that the writer was a woman that you could not get it out of your mind even for a minute.
6) I’m no prude, but I’m sure images of the masturbating dwarf will be haunting me for a long time.
7) Trust a good old disaster/great accident to get rid of the bad guys for you. That way you don’t get to kill them yourself and become (gasp!) a bad guy yourself. I would be curious to see how the main character would get out of all that mess if the stampede had not happened.
If you owned a circus and half a brain, would you hire a 90 year old cripple whith serious health problems who ran away from a nursing home and whom you have just met? Yeah, I didn’t think so.
9) I can’t really recall the sex scenes, which means they we probably not as graphic as some readers suggest, and as for the animal cruelty parts of the novel, yes, they were (theoretically) gruesome but failed t

The Apple Ipod Touch is one of my most favorite gadgets. It is literally an extension of my life. I do not leave home without it. I purchased it from amazon with 1 day shipping and it got here the very next day which obviously meant that I did nothing for the next 3 hours except explore everything I could on it. I uploaded all my songs, pictures, videos, and some movies, instantly. All of them play beautifully on the Itouch. My baby cousins are also in love with the speakers that enable them to actually hear the games and movies they love. This is my second Ipod Touch. My first one was the first generation Ipod touch. I do love this one for its speakers though.
All in all, a great buy. You just have to love this product.

I’m not much of a game fan – don’t have an Xbox nor do I game using a PC. But this is fun! I use it mainly with the Wii Fit balance board attachment for exercise, and it provides a nice variation from the usual cardio machines or strength routines.
Easy to set up and use. The graphics are not what you’d call top-notch, but are usable. All in all, I’m very pleased with it – never would have thought I’d own a game deck, but the Wii changed that!
