I purchased this cable to work with a miniDP-HDMI for my Macbook Pro (early 2010). Works great, and a real bargain! Why pay top dollar?

I work at home on two computers (desktop and laptop). Keeping track of file locations and versions was not fun. The Windows file-synch utility was buggy and unreliable.
With work, school, and hobby files, both computers’ hard drives were filling up fast.
This Iomega NAS drive has been great. Nearly all my user files now reside on the NAS, and I’ve used maybe a fourth of the 1GB capacity. (Caveat: I haven’t tried the iTunes server or other media features.)
Opening larger files over the network can take a few seconds longer, but hasn’t been a problem.
Bottom line: It’s much easier to keep track of my files, and the additional storage capacity has helped me put off replacing two aging computers.
(And yes, I do also back the NAS up…NEVER rely on just one hardware device for safekeeping critical files.)
