Well, it’s a classic. It’s a relatively quick read, and for some reason I was surprised by how much I liked it. It didn’t really ’speak’ to me as it might have done if I’d read it when I was younger, but I enjoyed the story and the narrative style. It’s amusing to have the narrator obviously exaggerate and lie to you for his own ego.
If you’re a teenager (maybe an older teenager, now that I think about it – particularly males) or an adult who never read this, pick it up and give it a shot. Worst case is that you’ll be a bit bored for a few hours. More likely you’ll both enjoy it and be enriched by it at the same time.

You can get an idea what you’re in for by visiting Microsoft’s online training. There are literally hours of video about using each of the programs like Word, Excel. I just needed to update so I could save a Powerpoint slide in pdf. Instead, I find that all of my familiar programs like Word and Excel are no longer something I can rely on to knock out a quick project. The ribbon supposedly makes things easier to find in theory. In practice, an experienced user of the older version can spend 15 minutes finding a way to, for example, remove the underlining from text. Really annoying.
I will no longer buy programs or new versions that are not intuitive enough to use without spending a day viewing videos – especially after having invested the time to learn the old version.

Surpassed expectations. When I was bike commuting 14 miles every morning in the dark, I needed floodtides of light … and I spent big bucks to get it. Now I’m older, wiser, and have scaled back the morning ride … taking the bus most of the way, but riding all the way back in the afternoon. So I needed a good, strong light for two short jaunts … one to the bus stop and another from the drop-off point to my office … about a mile each. And the roads were lightly traveled, but dark.
Not wanting to shell out the hundreds of dollars I had in the past, I tried some of the cheaper lights … all of which were very disappointing. But after reading the reviews on this Planet Bike 3044 Blaze 1-Watt LED Headlight , it seemed worthy of a try.
And it exceeded my expectations by a long shot … providing a strong beam ahead of me right where I need it, with reasonably long battery life. It also provides enough light from the side to be seen, but doesn’t shine in my eyes, as some of the other models did.
Nice to have two levels of lighting, and also nice to be able to turn on the strobe flash … great for overcast afternoons on the way home … or just to enhance my visibility to anyone in front of me.
A great value for short rides in the dark.
Great piece of safety gear. Definitely the coolest and most effective way to be safe and seen if you’re on the road in a low light situation. I wear mine running and cycling. Very compact and light weight. A quality product.
Planet Bike Protege 9.0 Bike Computer. Brought this as my first bike computer because of the excellent reviews on Amazon.Tried for 2 hours to program computer without success. Attempted to call Planet Bike for tech support, but no option for tech support was offered with call. They did have email support, but I felt I needed live tech support to walk me through the programming process. Will return and probably try another brand.
Blinky Lights. Good lights, easy installation. Only down side, and Planet Bike Blinky Safety 1-Led Bicycle Light Set was expected is projection distance of front light.
