this book was really really amazing. i’m in the junior league and am the only black woman in my league. i’ll admit that while reading this i had a lil smirk on my face :-) . i wanted to say look what’s happened to your glorious league now!!!

seriously, you read these books and you realize that people (both white and black) have fought to get us where we are today. they’ve risked their lives to say we have a right to “be”. the help provided a perspective on what it was like for white people who wanted a change. granted it was light-hearted, humorous, and i’m sure exaggerated at times – but it did provided a perspective that was quite believable. i wanted to keep reading to see what else was going to happen. books like that stay with me forever. these characters became people – for me, a great book is when you forget you’re reading fiction. and therefore, let me introduce you to my new friends… it’s well worth the read and the recommendation.

I’ve been wondering what programming language I wanted to get involved with. At first I decided that it was going to be C since I could do a lot more stuff with it, or so I thought. I had been reading up on Perl and how it is basically the scripting language that ends all scripting languages. So I decided to get this book before actually getting a How-To Perl book to see if it was as usefull as I thought it might be. Oh yes, was it ever. Needless to say I promptly went and bought Learning Perl 2nd Edition from my favorite publisher O’Reilly and am about to dive into it. Highly recommended book for anyone who’s not sure if they want to get into Perl or not.

This mount is very easy to use and EXTREMELY stable – does not move at all! I did not want to mount my Nuvi to the windshield and my dash is funky. Bought this and could not be happier! Get one – you will not be sorry!
